Jerry Neal Waters, born June 23, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on July 25, 2026 in Alice, Tx.

Jerry married the love of his life, Carmen Waters, on January 5, 1973. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, family, and memories.

Jerry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was truly a jack of all trades and a man who could do just about anything. Throughout his life, Jerry worked as a pipe fitter, cook, and in construction. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do or figure out. His many skills, hard work, and determination made him someone his family and friends could always count on. He eventually retired from CCAD.

Jerry had a deep love for the coast and enjoyed surfing, fishing and art. He loved being near the water and had an adventurous spirit that stayed with him throughout his life. Above all, Jerry treasured his family and time he spent with the people he loved.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, G.C. Waters; his mother, Dorothy Laferney; his brother; Billy Jack Kemp; and his son in law Billy Reiter.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen Waters; his siblings, Guy Waters (Jill); Elizabeth Curry (Marc); and his children, Vicky Marcheschi (Dan); Jennifer Reiter; Vanessa Brittain (Paul).

Jerry was a proud grandfather to Billy, Bo, Chelsea, Blake, Remington, Samantha, Noah, Kacey, Chrystania, Hannah, Raistlin, Jake, and Keira, as well as many beloved great-grandchildren who brought additional joy and love into his life.

He leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, lessons and memories that will live on through his family. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew him.

Celebration of Life

Jerry’s family will be gathering to celebrate his life and share memories on August 27, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Horace Caldwell Peir in Port Aransas, Texas.

All are welcome.
