Jeri Dale Johnson Armstrong began her race in Pampa Tx. November 15,1950 and she ran her race very well. She grew up as a child with great love for all people and just a little mischievous which she never grew out of. Jeri met Jimmy at a birthday party and a new love began that will continue in eternity she became Jeri Dale Hisel on June 22, 1967. One year later and one day later her son was born she told James Cameron Hisel as she held him in her arms today my life begins. Almost two years later on May 25,1970 her world was complete when Lori Michelle Hisel was born. In her love and concern for Jimmy she was the person to tell him of Jesus and His love a year later her husband embraced Christ and a new ministry team was formed. Moving to Ft> Worth for her husband to gain an education Jeri also attended school worked at various occupations raised a family and worked in her church, she was a wonder. She loved working in the Childrens Church with her Husband until they accepted the call to Pastor. Jeri continued ministry to people throughout her life opening a daycare in Port Isabel until they accepted the First Baptist Church in Sandia.

When Jeri and Jimmy considered the Church they were driving the streets on a hot July day wondering if God was indeed offering His call, Steve Green came on the radio singing “People Need the Lord” in Spanish, there all around Sandia were barefoot kids up and down the streets that sealed the deal. Jeri has been faithful to her Lord since becoming His child so many years ago. She loved to tell others about Jesus, in these last days in the hospital nurses, doctors, techs. Whoever it was that came to see her she would tell them about her Lord Jeri finished her race on Sunday October 11, 2020 in her home with her Jimmy, Son Ronnie and Daughter Lori with her. She went to sleep to awaken in the Presence of Jesus, she is loved.
