Jean Roe

Jean Clark Roe passed away on May 2, 2015. Jean was born February 17, 1933, in Dallas, Texas, to Archibald and Evelyn Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter Sandra Kay Roe. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Charles; daughters Susan Charlean Howarth (George) and Sally Ruth Roe; and sister Sue Clark. She will be dearly missed by her family and many, many longtime friends made through college at Southern Methodist University; activities in her home community of Portland, Texas; a variety of volunteer work in art and science museums; club activities with Conchologists of America and local shell clubs; and trips taken with Charles to all corners of the world, pursuing her passion for shell-collecting.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Portland, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
