Obituary

James Jake Wostal was born on October 30th,1946 and went to be with our lord on August 19th, 2026. He was born the only child to Fred and Frances Wostal. He attended Orange Grove Elementary and then after moving to the lake he attended and graduated from Mathis High School. He continued his education and graduated from Del Mar College with an associates in electrical.

Thereafter he worked with his parents and the several businesses they had. Harvesting crops for farmers and commercial fishing.

He attempted his own business but ultimately gave that up to work in the oil field, during the oil boom of the 80's. He worked on drilling platforms in the gulf as a welder. A slump in the oil field and some health conditions led him to his next career at Orange Grove ISD as a maintenance man. During this time, he became certified for HVAC, pest control, and plumbing.

Upon retirement he planned to complete all his unfinished projects. Sorry to say that his projects are still unfinished.

James was a member of the community where he helped everyone and got to know everyone. James also had a love for animals especially all the dogs that he loved who are greeting him in heaven.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Frances Wostal and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice. His daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Jesse. His daughter and son-in-law, Jonie and Matthew. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren Randi and Tyler, their children, Tony and Sawyer. Kelsey and Anthony and their kitties. Kristen and Seth and their children, Theodore, August, and Arlo. Justine and her puppy. Jennifer, Kyle, Jason.

Thank you to all of the family and friends who supported us during this time. It is greatly appreciated.
