Iose Lefau Leomiti Jr. passed away on September 6, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 80. He was born on August 26, 1946, in the Village of Pava’ia’i in Pago Pago, American Samoa.

Iose will be remembered as a soft-spoken man who nevertheless commanded respect. He was a God-fearing man and a loving family man. His life reflected quiet strength, steady faith, and deep devotion to those he loved.

In his working years, Iose served as a Certified Welder and Machine Operator. Beyond his career, he was known for the interests that brought him joy and connection with others. He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed serving as a Finance Gaming Consultant (playing bingo).

Faith was an important part of Iose's life. During his lifetime, he held many church positions at Silverado Methodist Church in Long Beach, California, where his father ministered for many years. He also took the initiative to learn to play the piano so that he could help lead church services, a reflection of both his commitment and willingness to serve wherever he was needed.

Among the moments that brought Iose the greatest pride were watching his children graduate and later seeing his grandchildren graduate and participate in sports through high school, college, and beyond. Those milestones were a source of lasting happiness and spoke to the importance he placed on family, encouragement, and being present for the achievements of those he loved.

Iose is reunited with his parents, Iose Leomiti Sr. and Falemalama Nua; step-mother, Faatonia Tupou; and siblings, Tagilima Leomiti, Fautua Leomiti, Viliamu Leomiti, Solomona Mageo, Kone Leomiti, Tavita Leomiti, Filipele Leomiti, James Leomiti, Kalihi Leomiti, and Vivian Leomiti. He leaves his memories to his beloved wife, Tise Niuelua; children, Faaliga and Suezanne Nua, Carlson Lefau and Perrilyn Leomiti, and Viliamu and Sofai Leomiti; grandchildren, Allee Nua, KC and Maria Leomiti, Krystalynn and Liam Hopkins, Taylor Nua, Kennedy and Matt Roach, Kenese Viliamu Leomiti, Aiden Nua, Kali'i James Leomiti, and Kerida Rose Leomiti; great-grandchildren, Lilyana Roach, Elizabeth Roach, Damon Roach, Malia Jade Leomiti, and Serelani Kerida Janelyn Hopkins; siblings, Maila Falealili, Vivian Leomiti Nash, Ailini Misiluki, Uiki Tupou, Tauva Leomiti, and Talalelei Leomiti.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM until 1 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Winsteads' Funeral Home, where a Funeral Service will begin at 1 PM that same afternoon. Services will conclude in the Winsteads' Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 PM. The family will be gathering for a Repast at the Portland Community Center following funeral services.
