Ignacio Rodriguez

Ignacio Rodriguez was born September 19, 1965 in Sinton Texas.  He grew up in Gregory, Texas and graduated from Gregory Portland High School.  Iggy as affectionately called by all who knew him, enjoyed working with people; he worked in sales for most of his life in places like Dillard’s, Beall’s, and Baker’s shoes where he had many return customers who would specifically ask for him by name. 

Ignacio was preceded in death by his mother Rebecca Gonzalez Rodriguez.

He is survived by his father, Ezequiel Rodriguez of Gregory, Texas; his brothers, Zeke Rodriguez (Lisa) of Carrollton, Texas, David Rodriguez, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Greg Scott Reed of Lewiston, Maine, and Ramiro Rodriguez (Michelle) of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sisters; Rachel Salazar (Jesse) of Portland, Texas, Rebeca Vargas of Robstown, Texas, Olivia Villegas of Kerrville, Texas, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Calallen, Texas, Irene Rodriguez of Gregory, Texas and Micaela Rodriguez (Benito) of Gregory, Texas.

Iggy is also survived by his nephews, Jessie, Tony, James, Mario, and Matthew and nieces, Christina, Olivia Victoria, Rebecca Ann, and Erica Renee; and his best friends; who were like brothers to him; Lee Brame and Carl Codney.  

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory with interment to follow at the Gregory Cemetery.
