Hilda Cardona Carranza

Hilda Cardona Carranza passed away at the age of 59 on Monday, August 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Asael Cardona Jr. and Maria Alvarez Cardona.  She is survived by her son, Ricardo Gabriel Carranza (Cristina), Monica Montes (Hector), and Kalie Lamas. She also had two brothers, Hector Cardona (Guadalupe) and Rudolfo Cardona (Victor), 9 grandchildren and many friends that never forgot about her.

Two of her best friends, Dolores Diaz and Lupe Ganceres were always there for Hilda and for that the family is thankful.  We would also like to thank the many people who cared for Hilda during her long illness.  Special thanks to nurses Tanya and Gabby, as well as Dr. Munson and his wife. She was also cared for by her health care providers, Gloria Urquizo and Belinda Chapa.

Hilda worked most of her life as a Health Care Provider taking care of her aunt and disabled niece.   She also moved in with her parents to help with their poor health. She will be remembered for her love of her children and grandchildren.   She continuously wanted what was best for them as many parents do.  She was a very strong believer in Christ and the Catholic Church.

A holy rosary will be held Friday, August 5, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis, Texas at 9:30 AM.  A mass to celebrate Hilda’s life will follow at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be private for immediate family only.
