Guadalupe S. Mendoza

Guadalupe S. Mendoza, 76, of Portland, Texas peacefully fell into eternal rest on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Guadalupe was born on March 18, 1941 in Beeville, Texas to Clemente C. Sosa and Irene M. Sosa.  She is predeceased by her parents, her late husband of 41 years – Lionel P. Mendoza, and her son – Daniel Robert.

Guadalupe (also known as “Momo” by her family) was a homemaker who loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister to her beautiful family.  She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Martha Mendoza, Sandra (Mike) Ledesma, Lionel (Xochitl) Mendoza, Rose (Bruce) Perkes, Steven (Kristina) Mendoza, and Luis (Michelle). The loves of her life are her grandchildren – Bryan, Lauren, Kevin, Lindsey, Nathan, Trey, Ciara, Isaak, Daniel, Mia, Jeremiah, and Jacob; and her great-grandchildren – Elijah and Cali.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Texas.  The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Portland, Texas.  The burial will follow at Palms Memorial Gardens.

The family expresses their thanks, love, and appreciation to all of Mom’s many family, friends, and caregivers who provided love and support to her these last few years.
