Guadalupe Duran, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away on June 12, 2025, in her hometown of Mathis, Texas. Born on June 6, 1958, Guadalupe embodied a spirit of love and generosity that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As a devoted wife for 41 years to her husband, Mario Duran, Guadalupe devoted her life to her family, nurturing a legacy of love through her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Janie Martinez, and her sons, Fidencio Longoria, Jerry Martinez, and Mario Augustine Duran, along with their spouses, Ramiro Garcia, Aimee Longoria, Christina Martinez, and Tiffani Duran. A proud grandmother to 23 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren, she will be deeply missed by those whose lives she enriched with her selflessness and kindness.

Guadalupe carried a strong personality, known for her hardworking nature and the unwavering support she provided to her family. Her interests included crocheting and cooking for her loved ones, talents that often filled her home with warmth and comfort. Though she faced challenges in her life, she was a fighter, facing each day with determination and a loving heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Estefana A. Longoria; a son, Jose Martinez; and two brothers, Feliciano Longoria and Baldemar Longoria. Additionally, her family mourns the loss of her granddaughter, Anastisia Marisol Garcia.

Family and friends are invited to honor Guadalupe's life and memory during the scheduled services. A visitation will take place at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Mathis from 2 PM to 9 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, followed by a Holy Rosary at 7 PM. A Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Descanso Eterno II.

Guadalupe Duran leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Her spirit and warmth will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched.
