Francisco L. Veliz, a beloved member of his community, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Mathis, Texas. He was born on April 18, 1957, in Sinton, Texas, to Francisco Veliz and Gloria Lopez.

Francisco was a man of many interests and passions. He loved to solve puzzles, which not only challenged his intellect but also brought him joy and satisfaction. Dancing was another endeavor he cherished, allowing him to express himself and connect with those around him. He found great pleasure in playing dominoes, showcasing both his strategic thinking and love for friendly competition.

Francisco is reunited with his father, Francisco Veliz; mother, Gloria DeLeon; stepfather, Jose DeLeon; and sister, Ida Amador. He is survived by his devoted siblings, Connie Amador, Dori Veliz, Lupe Saldana, Jorge Veliz, Mario Veliz, and Jose Luis DeLeon, alongside numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him for his warmth and kindness.
