Francisco Hernandez Flores

Francisco Hernandez Flores age of 101, of Mathis, Texas went home to the Heavenly Father with his loving family at his side on February 24, 2024. He was born April 2, 1922 in Rosita Caoh, Mexico to Magdalena Hernandez Flores and Marcelino Flores. Francisco was a loving husband, father and grandfather. As a devoted Catholic, he was a member of Cursillistas and volunteered his time to The Ark.

He was preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe T. Flores of 67 years, sons Alex Flores and Fermin Flores. Son-in-law Ray Gonzales, daughter-in-laws Mira Flores, and Marilyn Flores. Grandsons Ezekell Sanchez, Geraldo Olivarez, and Javier Olivarez. Granddaughters Annabelle Flores, Primadonna Flores, and Stephanie Cantu.

He is survived by daughters Tina (Santiago) Olivarez, Enez (Johnny) Sanchez, Yolanda (Rey) Davila, Mary Gonzales, Jeannie (David) Cantu, and Elizabeth (Bobby) Buck. Sons Juan (Rosa) Flores, Isidro (Adel) Flores, Frank Flores, Albert (Adela) Flores, David (Esther) Flores, Ricky (Helen) Flores, Raymond (Liza) Flores, Jessie (Noelia) Flores, George (Joanna) Flores. Sister Margarita Bordayo and brother Felix Flores. Forty-nine grandchildren, eighty-two great grandchildren, and seventeen great great grandchildren. 

Pallbearers include his sons, George Flores, Jesse Flores, Raymond Flores, Ricky Flores, and Frank Flores, and grandson Luis Sanchez. 

Visitation will be 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Dobie Funeral Home, 121 N. Duval Mathis, Texas. Rosary will be held that evening at 7:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday, February 29, 2024 Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Descanso II Cemetery.
