Ethel D. Williams, affectionally known as "Lois," was born on November 12, 1942, to the Late Abraham Lincoln Sr. and Willie Mae Williams in Austin, Texas. On Thursday March 6, 2025, our beloved wife, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend embraced a new life and transitioned to be with our Lord, with her husband by her side.
As a child Lois dedicated her life to Christ and knew the importance of having an ongoing relationship with Christ. Throughout her child she sang in the family gospel group. After completing her education in Austin Independent School District, she later moved to Kingsville Texas. Lois met and married her husband Mitchell Ted Shelton Sr. Lois started her career in the medical field as a CNA and cared for so many people until her retirement after 30 plus years. She was loving, caring, never met a stranger and was a blessing to those around her.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents Abraham Sr. and Willie Mae Williams: her maternal and paternal grandparents; her stepson Andre Tyrone Shelton; her brother Abraham Williams Jr, her sisters Winifred Williams-Randle, and Janie Mitchell.
Lois is survived by her husband Mitchell Ted Shelton Sr., her brother Edgar (Sue) Williams, her stepchildren and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
