Estela R. Carreon

Mrs. Estela R. Carreon was called home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2021, at the age of 88.  She was born in Tynan, Texas on June 23, 1933, to Rosenda (Cantu) and Alejandro Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Husband, Robert Carreon; one son, Guadalupe Carreon; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Carreon; one Grandson, Alex Carreon; one Granddaughter, Jennifer Carreon; and three Brothers, Eralio, Emilio, Ernesto.

Left to cherish her loving memory are Sons, Robert (Becky) Carreon, Albert Carreon, and Gilbert (Armandina) Carreon; Sisters, Enedelia Garibay and Aurora (Noe) Morales; Fifteen Grandchildren and Twenty Great Grandchildren.

Estela Loved music, dancing and gardening. She provided for her family with numerous jobs but her favorite was with Mathis ISD for 19 years.

The Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Palma Real family where she spent time in their loving care, with special thanks to Gloria Guerra and Melissa Saliaz. Also the family would like to thank A-Med Hospice for the additional care extended to her during her last days.

Pallbearers will be Chris Carreon, Mario Aguilar, Carlos Carreon, AJ Carreon, Orlando Carreon, and Trey Chapa.

Visitation for Mrs. Carreon will be at 5:00 PM and Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis, Texas. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church in Mathis, Texas followed by internment at Descanso Eterno I.
