Encarnacion G. Mata Jr.

Encarnacion G. Mata Jr., 82, of Kingsville Tx. gained his wings on January 15, 2024. He was born on April 12, 1941, in Kingsville, Tx. to Encarnacion G. Mata Sr. and Santos Mata. Mr. Mata worked for Restland Cemetery for 10 years in Dallas Tx, then went to work for Quick-to-Fix, Holly Farms, Tyson Foods all in Garland Tx, and lastly retiring with the TSI trucking company after 6 years. While not at work, Encarnacion spent time driving for La Division Del Norte and enjoying countless moments with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Encarnacion G. (Santos) Mata Sr., Brother Juan Mata.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Margarita J. Mata, children Mr.& Mrs. Nelda (Lazaro) Perez Jr., Mr. & Mrs. Raul (Yolanda) Mata, Ms. Cynthia Ann Mata, Mr. & Mrs. Gabriel J. (Melissa) Mata, Mr. & Mrs. Alex J. (Casandra) Mata, grandchildren Mr. & Mrs. Lazaro (Cynthia) Perez III, Ms. Nereida Perez, Mr. & Mrs. Carlos (Mary) Cisneros, Ms. Bianca Mata, Ms. Blanca Mata, Ms. Brittany Mata, Mr. Michael Garza, Ms. Nevaeh Mata, Mr. Oscar R. Saenz III, Ms. Maddie Sanchez, great grandchildren Lyrica Perez, Lazaro Perez IV, Serenity Munoz, Felicity Munoz, Trinity Munoz, Juelz, Julianna, Julian, Camila, Carina, Saphira, Damian siblings Mr. & Mrs. Eleazar (Noelia) Mata of Pharr, Tx., Mr. & Mrs. Kelly (Norma) Mata of Santa Ann, California, Mr. Ernesto (Olga+) Mata, Mr. & Mrs. Luis (Emma) Cantu of Kingsville Tx., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitations will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Bishop, Tx.
