Obituary

Eileen Schuette of Floresville, Texas, 71 years old, went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2026. She was born in Portland, Oregon on September 14, 1954, to Ivan “Van” Middagh and Kinney Mae Schlabach. She met and married her high school sweetheart, Randy L. Schuette on March 11,1970. Eileen was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished Nana. She and Randy shared 56 beautiful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, memories, and countless moments that will forever remain in our hearts.

Eileen was a proud and active member of the First Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild and the Helping Hands, was involved with the Floresville Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the OG bunch. Eileen opened and managed her own dry cleaning drop-off business, Drop Your Pants Here, in Floresville. Her love of helping others, community involvement, and acts of service is part of the beautiful legacy she has left behind.

Eileen was so much more than a mother to her own children, she was everyone’s Mom. Her door was always open, her heart was always full, and she had a special way of making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and at home. To every child she met, those she cared for, and her grandchildren, she was their beloved Nana, a source of unconditional love, comfort, laughter, and wisdom. “Nana is the best!” Her greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply, gave generously, and never asked for anything in return. Her love was felt not only in the big moments, but in all the little things she did every day-the hugs, conversations, phone calls, text messages, laughter, meals, and simply being there when someone needed her.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we are grateful for the incredible life she shared with us and for the love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on through her cherished husband, Randy; her children, Randy II “Bubba” (Crystal), Robert (June), Ronnie (Terrie), Rebecca (Scott) Kuenstler; her grandchildren, Matthew, Halle, Thomas, Madison Eileen (Jade), Charlie, and Jenna. Eileen is survived by her sister, Carolyn Koenning; cousin, Vickie (Howard) Schuette; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as “the kids” Kelsey, Bayley (Bayles), and Nick-Nick. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan “Van” Middagh and Kinney Mae Schlabach, and her brothers, Richard W. Middagh and Kinney Edward Middagh.

A special thanks to the St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center ICU team: Michelle, Emily, Sebastian, Johnson, and Ari for the incredible care, support, and kindness.
