Dorothy Luce

Dorothy Jean Jones Luce was born in Memphis Tennessee on March 17, 1929 to Andrew Canada and Bernice Obera Leach.

She married Charles Thomas Jones of Forrest City Arkansas in 1948.  They were married until Charles passed away in December of 1989.  She later married Pat Luce of Houston. They had been married for 12 years when Pat passed.

Jean loved God and her church. She enjoyed painting, playing the piano, and crocheting. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Charles and Jean had three children. Charles Andrew Jones (Marsha Jensen), Kenneth Lester Jones (Christine LaBeau), and Leslie Susan McKinny (Charles McKinny). They were blessed with 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her sister, Sue Fondren (Jerry Fondren) and all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be missed but we take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven and re-united with her family.
