Deacon John Wade Sutherland

Deacon John Wade Sutherland of Portland, Texas was called home to our Heavenly Father on February 20, 2014. He was a devout Catholic and an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Portland, Texas. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and was currently serving as Faithful Friar for the 4th degree assembly #2781. Deacon Sutherland was preceded in death by his eldest son Robert Sutherland. Deacon Sutherland leaves behind his family to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of 40 years Olga Sutherland; his son Thomas Sutherland and daughter-in-law Jennifer Sutherland. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday February 23, 2014 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will celebrated at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 24, 2014 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. Interment to follow at Palms Memorial Gardens.
