Crystal Lea Wirt

Crystal Lea Wirt (Looper), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 11, 1948, in Texas, Crystal brought warmth, strength, and unwavering love to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Looper and Roberta Warren, and by her cherished daughter, Cindy Weed (Pastrano), whose memory she held close to her heart every day.

Crystal is survived by her devoted husband, Vernon Wirt, the love of her life and steadfast companion. She also leaves behind her loving son, Robbie Weed; her sisters, Laura McClain and Melody Wakefield; her brother, Lawayne Looper; and her treasured grandchildren: Cory, Sean, and Eileen (Pastrano) Dominguez, Christina and Samantha Weed, and Sasha Gonzalez. Crystal was also blessed with many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who brought her joy and pride throughout her life.

Crystal had a deep love for music and was especially known for her beautiful singing voice. Her songs lifted spirits and brought comfort to many. More than anything, Crystal loved Jesus Christ, and her strong faith was the foundation of her life. She lived with grace, compassion, and a heart full of devotion.

Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and enduring faith. Her gentle spirit, sharp wit, and kind heart will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.

Visitation will begin at 6 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Winsteads' Funeral Home. Committal Service will begin at 11 AM on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
