Constance Jo Anne Kruslyak

Constance (Connie) Jo Anne Kruslyak (nee: Lee), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Portland, Texas, on December 21st, 2025, with her husband of 23 years, Robert (Bob) Kruslyak and her youngest son Marcos by her side.

Connie was born in Muncie Indiana on September 18, 1953, the oldest of four children to parents Robert Evan Lee and Barbara L. Lee (nee: Bicknell)

Connie lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and an unwavering love for her family to whom she was devoted her entire life. Connie loved spending her time at the beach in Port Aransas, often accompanied by her family members. Connie worked in the hospitality industry for many years and loved meeting new people and making certain they had a relaxing and rewarding vacations. Connie’s greatest pride was her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and she could talk for hours about each of them. Connie had a deep unwavering faith in God, and her family is comforted by the knowledge that she is resting with the Lord in Heaven.

Connie was preceded by her parents, and her sister, Sharon Lee, whose memories she carried with her always.

Connie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Kruslyak, her brothers Jeff Lee of Maryland, and Rick Lee of South Carolina and by her sons Eric Walters of Texas, Nathan (Lynda) Walters of British Columbia Canada, and Marcos Rocha IV of Texas.

Connie leaves behind a large and deeply loved family of twelve grandchildren who affectionately call her “Memaw” they include: Jacob, Hannah, Meygan (Andrew Coy), Noah, Aidan, Andrew, and Olivia Walters; Chanel Russell (Daniel Phillips); Brittany (Steven) Martinez; Kaitlin (Todd) Richards; and Eric and Leslie Schofield.

Connie was also blessed with fifteen great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy, they include: Elijah and James Timm; Thomas, Caroline, and Sean Phillips; McKenna, Shiloh, and River Martinez; Autumn and Zoe Richards; Lucius and Lillith Coy; Kenndey Erickson; Brixton Grant; and Hutton Skramstad. Each one held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in watching them grow.

Connie will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, and the way she made every person feel valued and loved. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, loved, guided, and inspired. Her family invites all who knew her to honor her memory by carrying forward her compassion, her strength, her love of God and her belief in the importance of family.
