Clyde Willard Simmons

Clyde W. Simmons, 86, of Ingleside, Texas passed away in a Corpus Christi hospital on March 16, 2018. he was born on September 27, 1931 in Macon county Tennessee to E.R. Simmons and Gustean Burgett Simmons.

Mr. Simmons was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Reynolds Metals Company after more than 30 years. He was a long time Little League coach, former Ingleside city council member, volunteer fireman, reserve police officer and Ingleside Housing Authority board member.

Mr. Simmons was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou Steele Simmons, his children Charles (Cindy) Simmons, Teresa (Ken) Jones, Kellye Berry and Craig (Jackie) Simmons. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, siblings Bill, Jerry, and Ruthie, son in law Danny Berry and grandson Shane Clanton.
