Clemencia Silva Martinez, a beloved lifelong resident of Mathis, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born on July 29, 1953, in Mathis, Texas, to parents Guadalupe and Clemencia Vela Silva. She was known for her generous heart, fearless spirit, and deep love for those around her.
Clemencia worked for many years in customer service, where her strong work ethic, warm personality, and dependable presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She took great pride in her work, always treating people with kindness and respect.
Outspoken and never afraid to speak her mind, Clemencia stood firmly in her beliefs and faced every challenge with courage. She was a hard-working woman who led with strength, honesty, and love. She found joy in the little things in life including dancing, laughing, and spending time with her beloved family.
Clemencia will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her vibrant spirit, fierce loyalty, and boundless love.
Clemencia leaves her memories to her beloved husband of 57 years, Daniel Martinez; daughters, Denise Rene Martinez and Daniella Ann Martinez; grandchildren, Keynan Gregory Martinez, Noah Isaiah (Lisa Torres-Martinez) Martinez, Elijah Guadalupe Martinez, Daniel Gregory (Miranda Auyana) Martinez, Leilani Amara Cantu, and Mia Martinez; great-grandchildren, Octavia Torres Martinez, Lucas Torres, Maelynn Auyana Martinez, and Anias Miguel Martinez; and sisters Erminia Perez and Lydia Bernal.
Clemencia is reunited with her beloved son, Daniel Martinez Jr.; parents, Guadalupe and Clemencia Silva; and siblings, Lupe Silva, Manuel Silva, Rosendo Silva, Jesus Silva, and Rosa Estrada.
Clemencia's life will be honored with services held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Winsteads' Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, followed by a Holy Rosary at 11 AM. A Mass will be celebrated at 12 PM that same day at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where services will conclude at the church.
