Chris Allen Voorhees, 49, of Portland, Texas, died September 25, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Chris was born in January 1963 in Henderson, Nevada to Edward and Joanne Voorhees.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Voorhees; 2 daughters, Jazlynn Voorhees & Alayna Voorhees; 5 sisters, Debbie Fortenbury of Las Vegas, Nevada, Pamela DiSipio of Las Vegas, Nevada, Teresa Voorhees of Kingman, Arizona, Vicky Shaw of Kingman, Arizona and Angie Tucker of Pine Bluff, Wyoming.
Chris enjoyed his occupation as a plumber. He started learning the trade early in life from his best friend's brother in Henderson, Nevada. He worked for Gentry Company in Corpus Christi, Texas since 1998. He loved his job as a field superintendent for Gentry Co. He helped many people with his plumbing skills. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football-especially his favorite team The Chargers, concerts and spending time with his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday October 26, 2012 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Bar-B-Q- Man, 4931 IH 37, Corpus Christi, Texas 361-888-4248.
