Carole Herschap

Carole Herschap passed away March 31, 2020 at the age of 83, just 12 days before her 84th Birthday.

She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Granny and Great Granny. In her earlier years, she loved teaching Sunday school and VBS at Faith Church of Orange Grove. When her kids were younger, she volunteered a lot of her time as a Cub Scout leader.

She also worked many years for the City of Orange Grove and then alongside with her husband Moose at Herschap’s Feed and Seed in Orange Grove.

She loved being retired and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and prosper. She loved going to all of their sporting and band events. Volleyball, basketball, and football games. She never missed a game. She was always their biggest cheerleader and fan always wearing her Bulldog shirts.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Alex (Pete) Wilson Jr., 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

She is survived by her husband Maurice Herschap, 1 daughter Starla (Kenny) Ahrens, 3 sons Scotty (Pam) Herschap, Skipper (Sabra) Herschap, Stacey (Sharlotte) Herschap, 14 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.

Visitation will start at 5:30 pm -7pm Thursday, April 2, 2020 with limit of 10 people in Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Service at 10 am Friday, April 3, 2020 at Son of Hermann cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Orange Grove Volunteer Fire Department and the Faith Church of Orange Grove.
