Bill James Johnson

Bill Johnson, 85, died peacefully on January 7, 2023. He was born July 9^th, 1937, in Kinder, LA Allen Parish.

He is preceded in death by his wife Judy Jay, son Paul, father James, and Mother Letha Mae. Bill is survived by his children: Michelle Earwood (Champ), Sharon Gideon (Chris), Mathew Johnson (Dawn), Lady Hoelscher (Gery). Grandchildren: Chris Jr. (Samantha), Chris (Nella), Katherine (Russell), Jennifer, Robert (Elizabeth), David, Jerri, Sarah (Joey), Tiffanie, (Timothy), Alexandra (Brandon), Tyler (Taylor). Great-Grandchildren: Bryan, Mackynzie, Griffin, Olivia, Sybil, and Sigrid.

Bill spent two years in the Army before marrying Judy on September 12, 1966. He retired from Turner Tool (NOV) in 2008. He spent his retirement traveling backroads, stopping at every historical marker along the way. He also enjoyed feeding birds, petting his dogs, and reading as many books he could get his hands on. 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 14th.
