Barbara Jean Ray

Barbara Jean Ray, 80, passed away on May 16, 2013. She was born on February 15, 1933 in Overton, Texas to Cecil and Rebecca Hawkins. Barbara, or "Bob" to her grandchildren, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member at the Church of Christ on Wildcat Dr. in Portland, Texas.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Charles D. Ray; sisters Joyce Starr of Helotes, Mary Jane Laird (Marlin); brother Cecil Jr. Hawkins of Portland; children Charleen Petru (Jimmy), Gilbert F. Ray, Carrie J. Picha (Edward) and daughter-in-law Terri M. Ray. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Delane Ray Jr. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Palms Memorial Gardens
