With heavy hearts and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Anthony D. Reyna, known fondly as Tony, who left us on August 7, 2026, at the age of 54. Tony’s journey began on May 15, 1972, and though his time with us now feels much too brief, his presence in our lives will remain vivid and cherished forever.

Tony was a beacon of warmth and kindness, possessed of a contagious laugh and an ever-present smile reflected in every gathering, every conversation, every memory. He grew up with a calling to help others—a calling that became the cornerstone of his life and legacy. From his earliest childhood, Tony was motivated by a deep desire to ease pain, to heal, and to bring comfort. This calling led him to excel academically, graduating from Incarnate Word Academy in 1990 before embarking on his journey to become a doctor. Through unwavering dedication, he achieved his Doctorate degree in Medicine from Universidad de Monterrey in 2001.

Tony’s professional life was marked by compassion and purpose, as he made a career within the field of pain management. Each patient and colleague benefited from his empathy, steadfastness, and ever-present sense of humor. His lifelong dream of practicing medicine was fulfilled by a relentless commitment to those he served, leaving behind a legacy built upon both skill and heart.

Among Tony’s proudest accomplishments was marrying his soulmate Xochitl Reyna on June 15, 2002, at Annunciation Church in Houston, TX—a union built on mutual faith, unwavering support, and boundless love. Together, they built a joyful home filled with laughter, spirited conversations, and enduring affection.

Tony’s love and devotion for his family was unmistakable. He was a devoted son to Felipe and Maria Macias, and a caring brother to Jaime Reyna, Teresa Oxford, and Mary Rodriguez. His brothers-in-law Joe Rodriguez and Grayson Oxford formed lasting bonds with him, as did his beloved nieces and nephews: Natalya, Rachel, and Nico Reyna; Justine and Jessica Rodriguez; and Baron, Londyn and Holden Oxford.

A pillar of faith, Tony cherished quiet moments of prayer and reflection, drawing strength from his deep spirituality. He was known for his many words of wisdom, including, “God will always provide,” “Always trust in God’s timing,” and “Even if I’m gone never blame God, because that is just a part of life.” This trust in a greater plan was evident to all who knew him and brought solace and hope to those around him.

To his children, Michael Anthony, Mark Anthony, and Madilyn Annaly, Tony was not only a loving father but an enthusiastic companion and mentor. He shared with his boys a passion for hunting, where laughter and stories flowed as freely as the time spent outdoors. Tony delighted in gathering his family to share stories of life, to joke, and to reflect—moments that are now treasured memories. His signature backwards cap and sunglasses, his beaming smile, and the light in his eyes will be carried in their hearts forever.

Tony’s love for sports—especially his unwavering devotion to the Tennessee Titans—was infectious. Whether at home or in the stands, his excitement brought people together. Through all seasons and every challenge, his faith, optimism, and playfulness made every day more joyful.

Family and friends will gather to honor Tony’s life and legacy at the Corpus Christi Cathedral, located at 505 N Upper Broadway, Corpus Christi, TX 78401. Visitation will be on August 20, 2026, from 4:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on August 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., where prayers will lift Tony’s spirit and memories will be lovingly shared.

Though Anthony D. Reyna’s physical presence will be deeply missed, the wisdom and joy he shared will live on, echoing in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. We hold close his laughter, his faith, and his enduring love, comforted by the knowledge that, as he often said, “God will always provide.”
