Andres Vasquez Villarreal, born on April 6, 1960, in Schleicher County, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a cherished soul known for his warm spirit and deep devotion to God.
Andres was a proud certified pastor whose life was guided by his faith and love of the Word of God. A quiet and reserved individual, he found solace and strength in reading the Bible and other spiritual books. Despite his reserved nature, he was a big jokester who loved to make his family laugh, and his contagious laughter remains a treasured memory for all who knew him.
Andres is reunited with his parents, Tanislado Villarreal and Elida B. Villarreal; and siblings Jacinta Alfaro, Jesusa Espinoza, and Maximo Villarreal. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Odalia Espinoza, Martha Magdalena V. Salazar, Rosalinda V. Turner, Reyes V. Canales, Jesus Villarreal, Rodolfo Villarreal, and Marcial Villarreal; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will hold him in their hearts forever.
Visitation will be held from 3 PM until 9 PM on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Winsteads' Funeral Home, where a Holy Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
Those with the honor of being a pallbearer are as follows: Jayden Thomas Urbina, Matthew Villarreal, Francisco Andres Rios, Juan Pantalion Hernandez, and Dominic Pantalion Hernandez.
Andres Vasquez Villarreal’s legacy is built on faith, familial love, and laughter. His presence was a blessing, and his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who loved him dearly. He will be profoundly missed yet fondly remembered for all he gave to those around him.
