Alejandro Barrientes, a cherished member of his community and a devoted family man, passed away on July 31, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on April 24, 1957, Mathis, Texas, where he laid down the roots of his life that blossomed into a legacy of love and connection.
For over 15 years, Alejandro dedicated his career to working at San Patricio County, contributing positively to his community and earning the respect of his colleagues and neighbors. His work ethic and commitment were commendable, reflecting the values he held dear throughout his life.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Alejandro found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid dancer and loved to listen to music, often reveling in the rhythm and melodies that brought happiness to his heart. His passion for dance and music was not only a reflection of his personality but also a way he connected with friends and family, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and joy.
Alejandro reunites with his parents, Julian and Juanita Barrientez Sr., and his brother, Alberto Barrientez, in eternal rest. His legacy will be carried on by his beloved life partner, Felicita Garcia, as well as his children, Rosalinda Barrientez, Angelica Barrientez, and Pete Barrientez. He took immense pride in being a father and was further blessed with four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by his siblings, Julian Barrientez Jr., Jesus Barrientez Sr., Luciano Barrientez Sr., Amalia Nieros, and Rosario Torres, who all cherished their shared memories with him. Alejandro's extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness and generosity.
Alejandro's warmth, spirit, and love for life will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and connection will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
Visitation will be held from 2 PM until 9 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Winsteads' Funeral Home, where a Holy Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Descanso Eterno II.
