Alberto Sanchez Sr.

Albert Sanchez Sr., 87 passed away on April 4, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife & children. Albert was born December 31, 1932 in La Sejita, TX to Elias Sanchez Sr. and Petra DelBosque.

 

Mr. Sanchez was a loving, caring, & devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He enjoyed counting his coins, any outdoor projects and sitting outside in the evenings with his cats. He embraced family gatherings with a house full of his grandchildren. He loved going to church & sharing the word of God to anyone that would listen. He loved those that loved him and was a strong man with a giving heart.  Mr. Sanchez was a retired truck driver, he began working at an early age for Knolle Dairy Farms & Knolle Creamery delivering products to warehouses, he then went on to work for Texas Star & Nu-Way delivering gas and also delivered for Andrews Distributing Co alongside his two brothers Alfredo & Felix Sanchez. 

 

Mr. Sanchez is preceded in death by his parents, Elias Sanchez Sr. & Petra Del Bosque; His siblings, Elias Sanchez Jr, Benito Sanchez, Felix Sanchez Sr, Alfredo Sanchez, America Sanchez, Maria S. Munoz, Adelina S. Garcia, Beatrice S. Sanchez (sister in law) 

 

He is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 55 years, Odilia Sanchez; Daughters, Diana Cardoza, Dee Dee (Gilbert) Perez, Amanda (Esequiel "Zeke") Martinez, Ashley (Anthony) Ortiz; Sons, Regino (Sylvia Garcia) Sanchez, Albert (Yvette Florian) Sanchez Jr,

Cory (Elida) Sanchez; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 8 great greatgrandchildren; 1 Brother Guadalupe Sanchez; 2 sister in-laws, Odelia (Alfredo) Sanchez, Guadalupe (Felix) Sanchez.

 

Pallbearers: Cory Sanchez, Matthew Sanchez, Jaden Martinez, Nathaniel Martinez, Anthony Ortiz, Leo Gonzalez, Esequiel (Zeke) Martinez, Gilbert Perez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 10:00 am -11:00 am Dobie Funeral Home for immediate family only. At 11:00 am to 12:30pm extended family and friends are welcome with a limit of 10 people at a time.

 

Funeral procession will start at 12:45 for burial at 1:00 pm to Sandia Cemetery. Due to the Covid19 guidelines only 10 are allowed.
