Agustin T. Ortiz

Agustin T. Ortiz, 96 years, of Portland, Texas, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends. He was welcomed by God's loving hands to heaven peacefully. He was a very devoted and spiritual Catholic who loved and prayed for everyone. He always attended all the masses faithfully and kneeled in front of God's alter with much reverence to his age of 96. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Gregory and Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Portland. His life was centered around God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Virgin Mary, and the Holy Spirit. He was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a caring and loving man who devoted his time in prayer for everyone. He was also always a good provider to his family. He was a good and loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He also enjoyed giving a dollar bill to all the children he would meet at the church. He also enjoyed visiting Catholic Churches and praying before the alters.
He was preceded in death by his wife Josefina L. Ortiz, his sons David Ortiz, Raul Ortiz, and daughter Gloria Gonzales. He is survived by his three sons, Augustine Ortiz Jr. (Linda), Gilbert Ortiz, and Rene Ortiz (Angie) whom loved him dearly. He is survived by his daughters, Angie Pardo (Chido), who cared and loved him with strength and love, Mary Ramirez (Daniel), and Gloria Lee Rivera (Gary) whom he raised like a daughter; D'Von Pardo his grand-daughter who was raised with him; and numerous grand- children, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
