Dominga Medrano Almeida, age 82, died December 5, 2017. She was born July 28, 1935 in Odem, Texas to Erlindo and Maria Medrano. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Oscar Zapata, sisters, Anita Resio, Odelia Sandoval, Maria DeLeon and brother Francisco Sanchez.
She is survived by two daughters, Celestina Zapata (George L.) Moreno and Lori Almeida (Samuel) Trejo, Sr., one son Hector (Anna Marie) Zapata, three sisters Amelia (Vicente) Morin, Erlinda (Francisco) Solis, Sr. and Juanita (Ruben) Estrada, Sr., three brothers Alfredo (Elvira) Medrano, Sr., Ruben (Lupita) Medrano, Sr. and Jose (Frances) Medrano and 5 grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. December 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. December 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Descanso Eterno #2 Cemetery.
