Bettina Jostes Stridde

Bettina Jostes Stridde, age 100, passed away July 1, 2017. She was born September 23, 1916 in Tynan, Texas to Herman and Betty Jostes. She was a teacher and postmaster in Tynan. Bettina was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, 2 grandchildren, one sister and six brothers. She is survived by daughter Patsy (Marvin) Crutchfield of Kenedy, Texas, two sons, Woody (Barbara) Stridde of Victoria, Texas and Michael (Sharon) Stridde of Calallen, Texas, 5 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Visitation will begin on Wednesday July 12 at 2 p.m. with the family present between 6-8 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday July 13 at Dobie Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Peace Church, P O Box 1, Tynan, Texas 78391, or the church or charity of your choice.
