Simon S Campos

Simon S. Campos, age 67, passed away August 14, 2016. He was born July 16, 1949 in Mathis to Juan and Marcela Campos. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Simon was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jose Campos and Juan Campos, Jr. and stepson Mark Villarreal. He is survived by his wife Josie Campos of Mathis, two stepsons Jose David (Rosalinda) Villarreal and Daniel (Janie) Villarreal both of Mathis. six sisters Maria Trevino of Belton, Texas, Olivia Silvas , Juanita (Jesus) Garcia and Lidia (Epifanio) Villarreal all of Mathis, Esmeralda (Cristobal) Diaz of Ennis, Texas and Marcela (Mario) Galvan of Ricardo, Texas, two brothers Crispin (Adeliada) Campos of Ennis, Texas and Alfredo (Ileana) Campos of Corpus Christi, Texas. Eight Grandchildren, 20 nephews and 23 nieces. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 16 at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday Aug 17 at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Descanso Eterno #2 Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Garcia, Jimmy Gallejos, Jordan Campos, Jeremiah Campos, Ruban Rivas and Jose Angel Rivas, honorary pallbearer will be Michael Galvan.
