Francisco Pena Garces Jr.

Fransisco P. Garces Jr., 80, passed away with peace and grace at his home on April 25th with his family by his side. He is survived by his children Son Francisco III (Shellie) Garces of Managua, Daughter Cynthia (Rick) DeLeon of Mathis, Son Roel (Liza) Garces of Baytown, Son Jaime (Melinda) Garces of San Antonio, Daughter Debbie (Stephen) Barraza of Mathis and Daughter Imelda (Armando) Vasquez of Orange Grove. He was an amazing grandfather and teacher to 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Garces is also survived by 4 sisters: Oralia Salinas, Delia Cantu, Dalia Gloria and Maria Navarro; 3 brothers: Arturo Garces, Juan Garces and Guadalupe Garces. He is preceded in death by his Wife Sulema E. Garces, Brother Benicio Garces, Mother Rosa Garces and Father Francisco Garces He will always be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who would do anything for his family. We will also remember all of his stories and joking around with everyone. Visitation will begin 1 p.m. April 28, 2016 at First Baptist Church 404 S. Bee St. Mathis, Texas with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. April 29, 2016 at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Descanso Eterno II Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Garces, Francisco Javier Garces IV, Steven Ray Garces, Ryan Lee Garces, Ricky DeLeon Jr., Matthew Jordan Garces, Jeremiah Garces, Blake Garces, Devon Garces and Aaron Garces.
